MetaVis has announced MetaVis Online, an enterprise-class SaaS SharePoint migration solution. MetaVis claims that by employing a cloud-based infrastructure, Online provides a scalable, secure SharePoint migration solution for any-sized organization. It adds that MetaVis Online enables organizations to simply, securely register online, enter their source and target SharePoint sites via a browser, mobile phone and/or tablet to begin migrating within minutes. MetaVis Online is also said to help companies create and manage hybrid (premise-based and hosted) SharePoint environments. MetaVis further highlights Online's ability to: - save time by simplifying configuring IT environments and allowing users to simultaneously migrate content;
- schedule migrations anytime (not just off-hour);
- easily configure and submit migrations; and
- eliminate requirements for additional hardware or software licenses by allowing customers to buy only what they need.
