SCT Teaches Montana State a BPR Lesson

Montana State University is electronically combining its four campuses with the help of Systems and Computer Technology's (Malvern, PA) Education Systems division. Montana State is using SCT's Banner 2000 software to implement its newly redesigned business processes. The system includes the entire suite of Banner 2000 products, including Web solutions and a document imaging system. The system will integrate "the administrative operations of our four campuses and allow us to deliver direct services via the Web to our faculty, staff, and students," according to Dr. H. David Todd, MSU's executive director of IT and vice provost for outreach. The four campuses will share administrative procedures and use the same administrative systems, said Todd, but will allow for independent functions "where it makes sense."
