SAS, Xerox and Oracle combine forces

The SAS Institute (Cary, NC) is joining forces with

Xerox Professional Document Services (Rochester, NY, http://www.xerox.com) and Oracle (Redwood Shores, CA, http://www.oracle.com). They plan to provide the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical-devices industries with software to shorten the time required to market new medical treatments.

As a part of the effort, the SAS Institute has announced a clinical data warehousing architecture, the SAS PharmaTechnology Process, designed to provide decision-support products and services for use in the clinical-research process. The software vendor is planning to introduce a number of client-server software applications for clinical data warehousing and Web-enabled publishing and reporting systems in addition to client-side viewers for specific clinical-research tasks.
