Onyx reports that the latest version of Process Manager, which is part of its Process Management portfolio of products, allows business analysts to design and modify end-to-end business processes using graphical workflow and business rule design tools.

Further, the company says, the technology enables users to model processes without writing code, reducing the need for IT support -- as well as the associated delay and expense -- while creating greater business agility for the enterprise. Onyx reports its technology can be used to automate a range of business activities that are contained within one department, as well as more complex processes that cross the enterprise.

Examples of the types of processes where Onyx Process Manager can be used include:

  • creating process discipline and controls to comply with regulations such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002;

  • automating various sales activities such as lead management, opportunity management and cross-sell/up-sell processes;

  • managing complex product or service lines through customer service; and

  • optimizing distribution through multitiered partner or broker models.
