Richer text mining

Clarabridge, a provider of text mining software, and Attensity, known for its advanced text analytics solutions, have agreed to integrate Attensity's Exhaustive Extraction technology into the Clarabridge Content Mining Platform. The companies claim the combined solution provides customers with a unique capability to rapidly extract meaning from text and enable it to be directly mined--using common business intelligence (BI) tools--to reveal critical business insights.

Clarabridge believes the partnership will give its customers the most comprehensive suite of text processing technologies to transform unstructured content into rich, structured data so it can be efficiently and effectively understood and analyzed within existing or future BI deployments. The Attensity patented extraction technology adds significant transformation capability to the growing list of embedded and third-party components available via Clarabridge's open Content Mining Platform.

The companies explain that by extracting facts from text fields and attaching them to associated structured data, users of the combined offering can ask detailed business questions not only of their structured data but of all their information. They can do so seamlessly using familiar and proven BI and data warehousing tools and techniques from vendors such as MicroStrategy, Business Objects and Cognos as a result of Clarabridge's extensive integration capabilities.
