Rewarding knowledge

Offering what is said to be the first commercially available knowledge management system that links direct economic rewards with employee knowledge sharing activities, Knexa has introduced IntraKnexa, a Web-based knowledge exchange and reward system. A customizable intranet application, it is designed to help organizations enhance knowledge reuse, reinforce knowledge sharing values, better locate and access their internal expertise and drive sharing of mission-critical knowledge.

The IntraKnexa system incorporates a mumber of knowledge management features including a question-and-answer system; a knowledge publishing, storage and retrieval system; dynamic knowledge and reputation profiling of experts; an integrated, flexible incentive system for member knowledge sharing and feedback; internal messaging capability; a robust administrator console; extensive content management tools for members; knowledge flow tracking tools; and in-depth activity reports for managers. IntraKnexa has been designed to scale and integrate with large enterprisewide information systems in a flexible and customizable manner.

"IntraKnexa was developed from the ground up with the help of the best KM practitioners and researchers from around the world," says Knexa CKO Nick Bontis. "We have integrated IT and HR into the KM solution. I am not aware of any other KM tool that actually provides incentives for users to share knowledge."
