Reconciliation intelligence

Trintech has released the latest version of its transaction reconciliation and payment infrastructure solution. In addition to interface improvements in navigation and display designed to improve productivity, ReconNET 7.1 includes increased levels of intelligence built into the system, the company says. The new software also includes expanded support for Sarbanes-Oxley financial disclosure requirements, including enhanced audit trail capabilities.

Trintech explains that the added intelligence in V. 7.1 includes interactive reconciliation screen color-codes that highlight exactly which fields match and don't match, adding that if a set of items cannot be reconciled, a plain-English message explains the reason why. Users can search for and research items without leaving the reconciliation screen.

Further, the company says, ReconNET 7.1 allows tasks to be automated through enhanced, rules-based "jobs" that are smart enough to check for certain conditions—such as data file availability, or success of a previous job step—and to wait or try again if something isn't ready.
