RealMedia Introduces Streaming Media Suite

Knowledge management, in its purest and most perfect form, includes media of all types: documents, graphics, photographs, video and audio. A new suite of tools from RealMedia (Seattle) approaches KM through the use of streaming video and audio. The suite includes tools that make it easier to create streaming media on the Internet or corporate intranets. It includes a RealPresenter plug-in for PowerPoint 97, RealPublisher Version 5.1, and a RealPublisher plug-in for Adobe Premiere. The combined tools allow users to create, publish or present streaming audio and video for presentation on personal ISP pages or Web servers. "Adobe Premiere users are very excited about the RealPublisher plug-in," said Matt Douglas, product manager for Adobe Premiere, "as it will enable them to re-purpose their video content for the Web."
