ReadSoft adds handwriting recognition

A2iA reports it has signed a global partner agreement with ReadSoft. This arrangement makes ReadSoft the first worldwide supplier of A2iA DocumentReader’s "Full Cursive Transcription" technology for handwritten documents as part of its document classification and mailroom automation solution.

A2iA explains that its technology enables ReadSoft to incorporate all cursive handwritten documents such as letters, complaints and other correspondence into the workflow containing other printed and electronic documents. With this integration, ReadSoft’s customers have a single portal for all incoming documents, electronic or paper-based—no matter if they are printed or in cursive handwriting. ReadSoft "Documents" software feeds the business documents and data to the appropriate recipients in the business processes, thereby considerably reducing preparation time and effort.
