Raising the legal limit

Thomson Elite, a division of The Thomson Corp., has released ProLaw Version 9.5, an integrated practice management suite for small and medium-sized law firms.

ProLaw's version 9.5 includes enhancements throughout its Front Office, Back Office and One Office integrated suites.

Front Office, which provides contacts management, calendaring and general case management functionality, now offers security enhancements within several areas including the ProLaw Portal, added functionality within Contacts, greater date range flexibility within its Events area and refinements to PDF document assembly.

Back Office, which provides accounting, timekeeping and financial reporting functionality, now offers automated bank reconciliation; expanded timekeeper options; an updated check approval process; integration with Microsoft's FRx analytic tool, which allows enhanced and sophisticated financial and analysis reports using ProLaw data; enhanced default financial reporting and management; augmented trust account reporting capabilities; and additional options to support the law firm budgeting process.

One Office, says the company, includes added user benefits with Portable Matters, allowing them to save case information to their laptops and work on them while offline.
