QMS appoints new CFO

QMS (Mobile, AL, http://www.qms.com

) has appointed Richard Wiggins, company VP and controller, as its new chief financial officer, replacing acting CFO Gerald Roenker, who had held the position since September 1995. "Rich has been a tremendous asset to QMS," said executive VP Charles Daley. "We believe his promotion will help us continue to strengthen our ability to effectively manage the financial affairs of our company and position us for continued future successes." Wiggins takes the financial reigns at a company that posted $5.5 million in losses in Q3 '97 on less revenues than in Q2 '96. QMS executives, in the wake of these results, have expressed "disappointment" with QMS' financial performance, and are currently evaluating the company's operating expenses and efficiencies of its business units and practices. QMS is also actively searching for a new president and CEO "to lead the company into the next millennium," according to Daley.
