Putting chaos in its place

Venetica says the latest version of its content integration software, VeniceBridge 3.0, significantly enhances e-business applications by providing a single, consistent method to access and exchange unstructured content from multiple sources.

The company adds 3.0 also strengthens collaborative commerce by providing the supporting content required to perform transactions over the Web, giving businesses the ability to move beyond the barriers they previously faced when implementing B2B solutions.

The new Exchange Services functionality, Venetica says, provides the ability to exchange content with other companies and net markets over the Internet in standardized XML formats. This allows XML content to be transferred directly into remote content management repositories.

Version 3.0 also features Partner Server, which the company says simplifies content integration with customers, trading partners and suppliers. New administration tools are said to ease setup and configuration of VeniceBridge components, making it simpler to add new repositories on the fly and manage multiple data maps. Further, Version 3.0 includes support for addition repositories. Out-of-the-box Content Bridges will be available for Documentum, Lotus Notes and Domino.Doc, FileNet, IBM Content Manager, OpenText, Oracle iFS and others.

Also new are expanded API support, annotation support, session pooling, centralized logging, enhanced data mapping capabilities and improved processing performance, says Venetica.
