Puerto Rican bank digitizes documents for Y2K compliance
Using a bundle of technologies, the Government Development Bank for Puerto Rico plans to simultaneously digitize its backoffice operations and achieve Y2K compliance.
Bank departments being upgraded include human resources, financials, procurement, accounts payable and loan origination. The system, consisting of Lawson and FileNet software on an Oracle relational database, will be installed by IMC over the next twelve months.
William Kee, head of IMC's Lawson Practice, is "very excited about this major win," which he hopes will lead other organizations to add document imaging and workflow to their existing enterprise systems
