Pre-packaged portal punch

Citrix Systems has introduced NFuse Elite a portal server said to give users secure, point-and-click access to their own personalized set of applications and content. Administrators, on the other hand, get the ease and convenience of centralized portal management, says Citrix.

Employing wizard-driven installation and pre-configured roles, themes and templates, NFuse Elite delivers a true "out-of-the box" access portal, claims the company. Elite retails for $67 per named user, including the Citrix Subscription Advantage, an annual plan that provides customers with automatic delivery of software upgrades, enhancements and maintenance releases.

In related news, Citrix and ScreamingMedia announced that the two companies have signed an agreement to include ScreamingMedia's syndicated content within the NFuse Elite access portal, giving customers their first year of service at no charge.
