Plumtree announces content partnerships

With the release of its new Portal Gadget suites, Plumtree has integrated content from new partnets for integrating content and industry news. Added to the list of Plumtree content providers are Business.com, iSyndicate, Moreover.com, NewsEdge, LEXIS-NEXIS and Screaming Media

Plumtree customers now have access to an array of business content--including competitive intelligence, updates about industry events and conferences and access to industry archives--combining over 35,000 content sources and databases in all.

The content partners embed their services in the Plumtree Corporate Portal as Plumtree Portal Gadgets. Similar in appearance to the sports scoreboards or stock portfolios of a consumer portal, Gadgets are plug-in modules that embed components of applications and interactive Internet services in a personalized portal page. Each partner developed a separate suite of gadgets, joining Plumtree's network of partners and customers who have used Plumtree's gadget architecture to extend the portal.
