Pivotal ships eSelling 2000

The Gartner Group predicts that B2B e-commerce will represent $7.29 trillion--or 7%--of total global sales transactions by 2004. So, as sales velocity grows, enterprises need more powerful software to match that volume. With this in mind, Pivotal has developed e-Selling 2000, which is built on an n-tier distributed Internet architecture based on the Windows DNA 200 framework.

The product began shipping less than a week ago, and Pivotal reports it enables global firms to perform in-depth needs analysis, provide targeted recommendations on products and services and advise customers on features and options. The software supports single- and multi-vendor product catalog aggregations, sophisticated personalization and pro-active notification to enable both one-to-one and many-to-many relationships between buyers and sellers.

When integrated with Pivotal’s demand chain networks, the scalable XML-based eSelling 2000 uses customer and product knowledge within the Pivotal database to create personalized buying experiences for each customer. The networks unify the demand and supply chains to support Internet commerce, CRM and wireless technology in order to manage collaborative relationships between customers, business partners and employees.
