Pingar unveils Taxonomy Generator Service

Platform-agnostic software company Pingar has introduced its beta Taxonomy Generator Service, which enables enterprises to generate instant taxonomies from an analysis of the content of large internal document sets.

The company reports its research team has combined natural language processing and machine learning technologies with Linked Data to address the challenge of automatic taxonomy generation. In addition to allowing the generation of standalone taxonomies, the Pingar Taxonomy Generator Service has been designed to enhance Pingar’s Metadata Extraction API toolset. By enabling information workers to extract and assign taxonomy terms as metadata, the company claims, the whole search experience for information workers is improved, leading to significantly increased productivity and a dramatic reduction in the cost to business of unsuccessful enterprise search.
