PW and Foundation Technologies Join Forces

Price Waterhouse (New York) and Foundation Technologies (Waltham, MA) have announced a joint venture to provide HR consulting and software services for global organizations. The alliance will offer Internet- and intranet-based employee benefit, human resources, payroll, and compensation solutions. Ford Motor Company is the alliance's initial client, and will implement data warehousing, large-scale client/server databases, and knowledge-based systems including Foundation's Beneflex knowledgebase to help streamline its employee benefits package. The new system "strongly supplements the responsiveness and quality of the range of services provided to our worldwide customer base," according to Executive Director of HR Jim Fish. Ford's HR Customer Operations staff serves more than half a million customers. The system will provide Ford employees with "customized HR and benefits content automatically tailored to their individual needs," added Foundation president and CEO Tod Loofbourrow.
