Oracle to Bundle SGI Server with Enterprise Solutions
Oracle (Redwood Shores, CA) will bundle Silicon Graphics' (Mountain View, CA) Origin200 server with its Enterprise databases. SGI will help sell and support the combined product. The deal addresses an "increasing demand for rapid deployment of demanding business-critical applications," said Ihab Abu-Hakima, VP and GM of SGI's Business Computing Division. Oracle VP Ray Wong added that the combination "provides customers the ability to build tomorrow's applications today." The combined offering is now available from SGI and its distributors.
