OpenText Inks Global Cloud Reseller Deal with SAP

OpenText, a provider of enterprise information management (EIM) software, has formed a global reseller agreement with SAP.

SAP will resell OpenText Extended ECM as SAP SuccessFactors Extended Enterprise Content Management by OpenText. Designed exclusively for the SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite, the new cloud-based solution is aimed at helping organizations manage human resources (HR) and employee documents from generation to disposition in a secure and compliant manner. .

More than any other department, HR professionals are responsible for a vast amount of information that is pivotal to an organization, and helping them manage their essential employee records through a single, cloud-based source is critical for companies that want to be more effectively manage an increasingly global, digital workforce, said Adam Howatson, chief marketing officer at OpenText.

As workforces expand and businesses become increasingly global, HR cannot afford to spend hundreds of hours each year manually storing, managing and retrieving employee documents, added Yvette Cameron, senior vice president of Strategy at SAP SuccessFactors.

With SAP SuccessFactors Extended ECM,  the companies say, customers will be better able to manage employee documents according to country- and region-specific requirements, more easily locate information through powerful search functionality, and generate HR documents and employee correspondence through the availability of set templates, content and pre-defined workflows. Integrated within SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite, the solution will help ensure that relevant employee file content is readily accessible to HR professionals, managers and employees within the context of the appropriate HR business processes and workflows.
