Open Text Signs Reseller Agreement with IntraWare
Open Text (Waterloo, Ontario) has signed a distribution agreement with Orinda, CA-based IntraWare, a supplier of intranet software and services. IntraWare will market, sell, electronically deliver and deploy Open Text's LiveLink Intranet in the U.S. and Canada, as well as provide consulting, training and subscription maintenance. IntraWare will also become a member of OpenText's Affinity Reseller Program. The push for acquiring intranet technology is a direct result of the acceptance of knowledge management in the corporate marketplace, according to IntraWare president and CEO Peter Jackson. The concept of hyperlinking people across standard functional lines to get the job done "offers what home grown tools can't provide easy enterprise-wide deployment and a quick realization of ROI," he said. The partnership will be officially launched on February 25 at a free seminar and product review in San Francisco's Embarcadero Hyatt.
