Open Text Acquires OnTime from FTP Software

Open Text (Waterloo, Ontario) has agreed to acquire the assets of Campbell Services (OnTime software) from FTP Software

(North Andover, MA). The purchase consists of a cash consideration of approximately $6.7 million. Ontime will add enterprise level group scheduling, and "a substantial user base" to Open Text's Livelink Intranet product, according to Open Text president Brett Newbold. "The OnTime group is a close strategic fit with Open Text's business strategy and core competencies," said FTP senior VP Doug Flood. Open Text plans to "invest tight integration" between Livelink and Ontime, said Newbold.
