Software that unifies alerts across multiple applications has been introduced by Vineyardsoft. KnowledgeSync 2000 works for both corporate-based and mobile employees with personal digital assistants (PDA). It features Webcast alert technology, plus e-mail, fax and pager notifications.

KnowledgeSync 2000 also enables users to receive alerts about a range of application events from any ODBC-compliant database, and also supports external alert subscription, enabling organizations to keep customers, business partners and supply chain members up-to-date on corporate events.

With KnowledgeSync EventPak Builder, customer relationship management software vendors, resellers and consultants can create and sell their own packs of application-specific events without programming or SQL experience.

Pricing is server-based as follows: KnowledgeSync Professional and Enterprise Editions, $695 and $995 respectively; Webcaster, $995; and Event Paks, $295
