Niku adds collaboration module

With the introduction of its Collaborator component, Niku now offers an Internet-based collaboration environment designed to allow service organizations to connect, communicate and centralize project knowledge. The company says its new modular application provides an intuitive forum for project team members to communicate and share project information. Collaborator can be used in tandem with Niku’s Enterprise Manager and Portfolio Manager product suites. Managers using the module, Niku claims, can improve project scheduling and management, as well as drive better execution by creating virtual teams and fostering faster project results. The company adds that project teams can effectively work together to meet objectives, share relevant news and information, participate in project discussions, capture and use intellectual assets, and ultimately shorten the company’s time-to-market cycle in developing products or delivering projects.

The Collaborator software is the first of multiple component modules Niku plans to introduce for the Enterprise Manager and Portfolio Manager suites.
