New module from Saba

As part of its human capital development initiative, Saba has released Performance 4.1, which is said to be the first scalable, pure-Internet-based performance management system.

Fully integrated with the company’s other modules, Saba Performance automates the process for setting and tracking organizational goals, assessing competencies throughout the extended enterprise, creating development plans to close competency gaps and providing feedback on progress against plans and goals.

The company explains that Saba Performance facilitates the communication of an organization’s goals to the extended enterprise of customers, partners, employees and suppliers. It further offers Web-enabled performance feedback capabilities that simplify the review process and increase communication between managers and employees. The software supports feedback on individual competencies and goal attainment from multiple sources including employees, their managers, peers, direct reports and customers. Development plans tied directly to an individual’s specific needs are also supported.
