New Xyvision unit to focus on KM, publishing

Deepening its commitment to KM and information management, Xyvision has spun off a new unit to expand its product and service offerings.

Xyvision Enterprise ("XyEnterprise") will develop and market the company's Parlance document management and production publishing products, and will expand its consulting services for integrating enterprise-wide information management systems.

With new products and an expanded integration services business, XyEnterprise will offer solutions for specialized departmental requirements as well as general enterprise-wide information management needs, according to Xyvision president Kevin Duffy.

Leading the new division with Duffy will be Jerry Ulbricht, VP of sales; Mark LeBlanc, VP of engineering; Michael Borin, VP of human resources; Carol Bumbaca, VP of customer support; and Wendy Darland, VP of finance.

To aid the launch, Xyvision has converted $1.75 million of credit line into equity, with an additional $5 million becoming convertible in June 1999.

The formation of XyEnterprise and related financial restructuring offers a clean slate that should attract new customers and investors, said Xyvision chairman Jeffrey Neuman.

"Our partners and prospects can now focus on the quality of XyEnterprise's products and services versus historical financial issues," Neuman said
