New BI analytics from Yellowfin

Yellowfin is premiering the latest version of its business intelligence platform, Yellowfin 7. The newest iteration addresses core technical capabilities, including improved content creation, multichart formatting, enriched administration, as well as new collaborative decision-making and mobile report authoring functionality.

The company highlights the following new capabilities and enhancements:

• enhanced report authoring for instant insight--enables users to conduct real-time ad hoc analysis on business data, generating immediate business insight;
• mobile report authoring supports anywhere, anytime ad hoc analysis--provides users the flexibility to create content and conduct ad hoc analysis on the mobile device of their choice, through the browser, just as they would via their desktop;
• multichart formatting enables deeper insight from multiple perspectives--allows users to create many charts from a single dataset, enabling fast data exploration and analysis from different perspectives;
• new administration console--Yellowfin analytics to balance the needs of enterprise IT and self-service data discovery users; and
• decision widgets designed to enhance collaborative decision-making capabilities--personalized Facebook-like feeds cataloging users’ activities within Yellowfin in real time, designed to boost user engagement and decision-making.
