Net-It Software refocuses as Allegis Corporation

In an effort to expand its product & service offering and enter a new marketspace, Net-It Software has changed its name to Allegis Corporation, and shifted its focus from document publishing to "partner relationship management." Allegis has also announced the receipt of $5 million in private funding and has hired new executive VPs.

Partnership relationship management (PRM) involves the management of the entire partnership lifecycle: creating, managing, analyzing and improving the business processes of a company's partnerships. It is similar to customer relationship management, but instead of focusing on how a company works with its customers, PRM focuses on the business relationships between a company and its business partners in all areas -- from product development to sales channels to services and tech support.

Allegis' experience in intranet and extranet information sharing systems gives the company "a unique vantage point to identify an unmet market need," according to Allegis president and CEO Dennis Ryan. The company's core document publishing product, Net-It Central, will be joined by new PRM-specific products, the first of which to be announced in February.
