Montana leverages Mobius, PeopleSoft

The State of Montana has announced that it will use Mobius' ViewDirect technology enterprise-wide to do more with its PeopleSoft ERP system. More than 2,000 users across the state are expected to use the tool to view and analyze report data when the implementation is completed.

Montana will use Mobius ViewDirect as an archiving engine and document server, Document Direct as a viewing client, and DocuAnalyzer as a datamining client.

"We have about 6,000 reports defined to the system from a variety of departments within the State," said David Smith, supervisor of production services. “These reports may be generated monthly, weekly, daily, or on some other schedule."

With the addition of a statewide accounting, budgeting and HR system based on the PeopleSoft system, "Mobius's ViewDirect and DocumentDirect give us timely access to reports that can be viewed on line by our diverse user base," said Smith.

"Governments are always looking for ways to increase productivity, reduce costs, and provide better service to the public they serve," said Mitchell Gross, president and CEO of Mobius Management Systems, Inc. "We are pleased that the State of Montana has chosen Mobius technology as an adjunct to their ERP system to help them move smoothly into the next century.
