Microsoft Selects Jetform for R/3 Forms Output

Microsoft (Redmond, WA) has chosen Jetform's (Ottawa, Ontario) Output Pak for SAP's R/3 to design and print forms for its SAP (Lester, PA) R/3 system. The system will let MSFT users create custom forms output for their suppliers and customers through the company's R/3 system, which went live in April 1996 and supports 1,800 users worldwide. (Not surprisingly, it's also the world's largest R/3 implementation driven by Microsoft's SQL server.) Managing forms in SAPscript is a challenging tasks for workers, according to Microsoft senior development manager Pat James. With Jetform's product, "almost any of our development team can create high-quality forms. It's truly a case of 'better, faster, and cheaper,' simply through developer productivity savings alone." Between the developer productivity and options for more sophisticated forms layout, "we're very pleased with the technology," said James.
