MicroAge Forms New Distribution Unit

MicroAge (Tempe, AZ) has formed a new business unit to distribute technology throughout the supply chain. The yet-to-be-named entity, headed by Robert O'Malley, will provide technology products and services to over 20,000 resellers, VARs, dealers, and systems integrators. The new entity will reportedly be the third largest technology distributor in the United States. "Our mission is to make this new entity the easiest in the industry to do business with," said O'Malley, "and we will dedicate our resources, time and energy to making that happen." Chris Koziol, currently president of MicroAge's Distribution Group, will become president of the new entity; he will be responsible for directing the sales and marketing functions for the company.
