Meridian Data Unveils New Network Management Software

Meridian Data (Scotts Valley, CA) has unveiled CD Net Version 4.0 for Windows NT network management software. CD Net for Windows NT offers a built-in DVD cache, which caches heavily-accessed information to a hard drive for higher access speeds. New diagnostic administration tools allow administrators to control the management of discs on the network. Embedded Slingshot technology allows point-and-click intranet access to DVD and CD applications and DOS, Windows and HTML files on the network through a hyperlink HTML Web interface. The fact that CD Net for Windows NT "transparently integrates into native NT Server services such as NT security is a major benefit to our customers." said Paul Dempsey, senior VP of Pioneer

's (Long Beach, CA) Optical Division. Pricing for CD Net for Windows NT Version 4.0 begins at $1,308 for a single server with unlimited user license. Upgrades are available direct from Meridian Data for $495.
