MedPlus Unveils Web-based Patient Record Application

A Web-based application for its ChartMaxx patient record system has been unveiled by MedPlus (Cincinnati). The Web Completion application allows clinicians to sign patient charts with an enctypted digital signature from anywhere using the corporate intranet. Access to patient charts and records can be restricted down to the document level. The system uses encryption technology from

RSA Data Security (Redwood City, CA). The application is designed to work with MedPlus' Web Navigator chart viewing and query application. MedPlus will take the wraps off the application at the HIMSS show February 22-26 in Orlando.
