Measure and forecast profitability with Gentia's ProfitImpact

Companies looking to maximize profits and focus on their most promising business opportunities will benefit from new software from Arthur Andersen and Gentia Software.

Gentia's ProfitImpact software combines performance management with Arthur Andersen's consulting expertise. Users can calculate activity-based costs, perform analyses and juggle the mix of products and services accordingly to maximize profitability.

ProfitImpact is for companies "looking for pragmatic applications that identify profitable business, make the internal value creation process visible, and link the overall strategy to action," said Andreas Buerge, managing partner at Arthur Andersen's Business Consulting in Switzerland.

Using ProfitImpact, Credit Suisse First Boston expects to save on operational costs and focus their business on best opportunities.

ProfitImpact has helped Credit Suisse identify those operations that were not as profitable as they should be and take action to improve the bank's overall ROI, said managing director Fritz Klein
