McKay Logistics Selects Metasys for Transportation Management
Metasys (Charlotte, NC) has been chosen to provide enterprise transportation management solutions to McKay Logistics, a Vernon Hills, IL-based contract logistics firm. McKay will integrate Metasys' MetaFreight ETM application suite with its existing ERP and supply chain management systems. Users of the system will have access to best practices for shipment planning and execution, as well as automated billing and payment, auditing and claims processing, and carrier performance analysis. A web-based feature will provide Internet client access to the system through Java applets. A connectETM feature will allow McKay to pass information back into its customer's ERP system. "This software will allow us to fulfill the needs of our customers, and help increase our market share," said McKay president and CEO Jeffrey McKay. "It's already opening doors for us."
