McEvoy and Pedersen team with Verity

Software developer Verity (Sunnyvale, CA, http://www.verity.com ) appoints Dennis McEvoy executive VP of products and services. McEvoy, who joins the company from Sybase, will supervise the research and development, technical support and consulting groups. Jan Pedersen will head Verity's advanced technology group whose focus is the development and implementation of linguistic technologies. Pedersen previously acted as the manager for quantitative analysis at Xerox PARC.
