Maxsoft-Ocron software speaks 80 languages

A new 32-bit recognition toolkit that helps developers create international OCR/ICR applications is available from Maxsoft-Ocron (Fremont, CA,

http://www.newsoftinc.com). Recore 6.0 ($3,995) recognizes 14 main language character sets and can be expanded to recognize 80 languages.

An ActiveX programming interface option allows programmers to create custom applications including Web-based OCR applications. The software is trainable, allowing development of customized recognition vocabularies.

With Maxsoft-Ocron's multiple optical recognition engine (MORE), Recore 6 allows users to combine multiple engines and a voting engine to maximize recognition accuracy.
