MatrixOne unveils Engineering Central

Described as an out-of-the-box application that eases the implementation of engineering best practices for product definition, bill of material (BOM) creation and management and engineering change, Engineering Central is the latest addition to MatrixOne’s Value Chain Portfolio.

The company claims the offering provides a secure, flexible, easy-to-use environment for creating and managing product information and development processes over the Internet. It adds that the software can be used to define parts and processes with revision control and configuration management best practices.

Engineering Central allows individuals and teams to work with anyone in their value chain anywhere around the world, using standard Web browsers. As such, the product helps widely dispersed teams to create, find, view, mark up and compare BOMs, manage drawings and other files associated with parts and manage changes to parts, BOMs and drawings.

Engineering Central is available now and priced from $5,000 for a five-user license.
