MarkLogic, Cambridge Semantics partner for NoSQL

Semantic Web technology provider Cambridge Semantics has formed an alliance with NoSQL database platform company MarkLogic. The companies report the combination of technologies will enable organizations to rapidly store, access, visualize and act upon diverse data to create scalable, semantic-driven data management and investigative analytics applications at a fraction of the time and cost of traditional approaches.

The companies explain the initial focus of the alliance will be in the areas of pharmaceuticals, life sciences, financial services and the public sector. They further report that the jointly developed solutions, created with customers and partners, will transform how information is leveraged within enterprises, allowing IT departments and their business users to quickly and flexibly access all of their diverse data, while adhering to the governance and security required by enterprise IT groups.
