Making its presence known

Global content management infrastructure company Presence Online announced its rebranding as Aptrix, the name of its product suite. The company has also introduced its Portlet Connector product and announced the extension of its product range to add small and medium businesses (SMB) to its enterprise customer base.

The company has also launched an all-new product for the creation of portlets. Aptrix Portlet Connector, which is designed for the enterprise market and uniquely available across IBM Lotus, IBM Content Manager, WebSphere and Linux platforms, provides a cost-effective solution to creating and deploying portlets, says the company.

Aptrix reports its Portlet Connector creates portlets with a point-and-click interface requiring no programming skills. The company says this feature accelerates and simplifies the aggregation of content from Notes applications, enterprise systems and other sources within WebSphere Portal Server, ensuring business content is shared intelligently across the enterprise. maintenance costs are slashed, lowering the total cost of ownership.
