Magnifi Introduces Enterprise Server Version 2.0

An application that designed to shorten the meantime to accessing and delivering corporate knowledge has been unveiled by Magnifi (Cupertino, CA). The Enterprise Server Version 2.0 application operates with a modular design, using MediaBlocks that handle a specific type of unstructured data. Each MediaBlock locates, indexes, visualizes and retrieves text, image, streaming audio and video, desktop publishing, graphic design or office productivity file formats. The system analyzes and indexes more than 95% of data on file and Web servers, and delivers the information across intranets, extranets and networks through low-bandwidth thumbnail previews and meta data. "We've tried other software in the past in an attempt to make sense of the rich content in our Graphics Department, but none has had the enterprise scale or fast response time that Magnifi delivers," said Jonathan Wilner, Chief Technologist of Electronic Services at Delaware Management, an investment management firm. The system will save Delaware Management departments "the countless hours and dollars previously required to recreate such content." Pricing for Enterprise Server Version 2.0 starts at $20,000, which includes a server license and support for HTML, gif and jpeg image files. Pricing for the complete system ranges up to $48,000, depending on the MediaBlock configuration.
