MICR Customers Get Some R&R

Users of MICR-processing and on-demand document processing software will benefit from a new agreement between Reynolds & Reynolds (Dayton, OH) and

Acom (Long Beach, CA). Under the agreement, the companies will integrate Acom's MICR processing software with Reynolds' document management solutions. The deal will benefit AS/400 and Windows users who are looking to combat check fraud and reduce disbursement costs, according to Jay Stead, group VP of Marketing and Business Development for Reynolds' Business Systems Division. Customers will see "a broader line of cost-effective systems for disbursing negotiable documents with higher levels of security and performance," he said. "Acom will benefit from Reynolds' strong market presence, and in turn, we believe our in-depth experience and comprehensive solutions will provide value to Reynolds and its growing customer base," added Acom president Patrick McMahon.
