META Group Selects BroadVision for Extranet Application

Industry research firm META Group (Stamford, CT) will incorporate a personalized Internet-based information tool from

BroadVision (Redwood City, CA) in its extranet, scheduled to be released next month. META Group will use the Internet-based application to offer clients "personalized workspaces" for individual access to research and other information, based on user actions and preference profiles created by the client. META Group's extranet will feature profile-driven workspaces, push applications for research delivery to the desktop, and topic-driven discussion groups. "META Group's research showed that BroadVision is emerging as a leader in the Internet applications space," said META Group VP of Online Services Darroll Gustamachio. Pehong Chen, Broadvision's president and CEO, is confident that the deal "will enable META Group to offer clients a new level of individualized service that will put META Group at the forefront of the competitive research community."
