Loudcloud and Cognizant join forces

Loudcloud and Cognizant Technology Solutions have forged an alliance that will permit firms to outsource all e-business application and operations.

Explaining that the arrangement will allow companies to focus on their core competencies, the agreement calls for Cognizant to manage a company's Web application while Loudcloud will handle the back-office infrastructure that powers the customer's site.

Loudcloud's infrastructure services are based upon its proprietary Opsware automation technology, which automates the deployment, scalability and monitoring of large-scale Web sites back-end systems. Loudcloud reports its operations solution complement Cognizant's application management services, which is aimed at taking over complete responsibility for the ongoing enhancement, maintenance and support for Internet-based applications.
