LexisNexis to license Content Analyst technology
LexisNexis Legal & Professional has inked a deal with Content Analyst Company whereby it will license the Content Analyst Analytics Technology (CAAT) analytics engine to enable predictive coding, which will be built into the next release of the LexisNexis Concordance Evolution enterprise discovery management software platform.
The companies report CAAT is a widely used technology in the e-discovery industry for enabling predictive coding. They explain predictive coding provides the ability to automatically replicate human decisions to a large data set. As coding decisions are made, the technology combines its “knowledge” of the data with the input from the person, and quickly and accurately applies those decisions to the entire data set.
LexisNexis says Concordance Evolution helps law firms, government agencies, litigation service bureaus and application service providers reduce overall e-discovery costs and boost litigation workflow productivity while managing the largest and most complex cases. The software is available with a base license fee for the software application and a per-seat licensing fee. In addition to the fully installed version, Concordance Evolution is also available from LexisNexis as a hosted solution.
