Lanier And FileNet Ink Agreement

Lanier Worldwide (Atlanta) and FileNet (Costa Mesa, CA) have signed an agreement to source imaging, COLD and workflow software solutions. Under terms of the agreement, Lanier's Sales and Integration Team will bundle its application and integration knowledge with FileNet's document imaging offerings. The combination should prove appealing to mass merchandisers and retailers, who "experience a high incidence of invoice deductions," according to Lanier president and CEO Wes Cantrell. "Resolving deduction disputes the difference betwen the amount the manufacturer's invoice and the amount the retailer actually remits requires labor intensive and time consuming research for electronic and paper-based information." Other industries addressed by the agreement are transportation and healthcare. "Each of these industries represent tremendous growth potential through the use of imaging-based systems," said FileNet chairman and CEO Ted Smith, "and we look forward to working with Lanier to help businesses reach their full potential."
