LanVision and SMS Sew up Healthcare Deal

LanVision (Cincinnati) and Shared Medical Systems (Malvern, PA) have signed a deal to offer document imaging and workflow to the healthcare market. Under the agreement, SMS will promote and sell LanVision's ChartVision, On-line Chart Completion and Enterprisewide Correspondence applications as a single integrate solution. SMS will combine LanVision's applications with its Novius Imaging client/server application. The deal will provide immediate and simultaneous access to electronic charts for physicians, clinicians, HIM professionals and other authorized users in a health enterprise. "The addition of LanVision's imaging and workflow applications to SMS' Novius Imaging sets a new standard for the industry," said SMS VP Alan Gold. LanVision president and CEO Brian Patsy added that the combination leverages the strengths of LanVision's electronic medical records applications with SMS' imaging platform.
