Kodak unveils midrange scanner

Kodak (Rochester, NY) has unveiled the Digital Science 3500 mid-volume scanner. The scanner offers continuous document feeding and ISIS and TWAIN scanner software drivers for Windows 95 and NT. The 3500 scanner can scan in 75 pages a minute with a 600 dpi resolution, and a 256-level grayscale. Kodak's Adaptive Threshold Processor (ATP) automatically adjusts image capture for different document backgrounds to ensure image quality. The scanner will be available in July, priced at $16,990 for a simplex model and $20,990 for a duplex.
