Just a little more than two months after the introduction of the Personal Cloud Edition of its SaaS document management and workflow offering, KnowledgeTree has unveiled new tools designed to make business documents easier to find and share.
KnowledgeTree explains the enhancements allow users to:
Search for text within images and scanned documents. New optical character recognition (OCR) technology automatically scans files as they are imported. The built-in OCR feature captures and indexes text within even non-standard documents, enabling users to search for and quickly retrieve documents like photographs or scanned contracts.
Add documents to folders via e-mail. Users can e-mail documents directly into their document vault. A unique e-mail address for users’ folders can be shared with colleagues and external partners or customers. Attachments are organized in the correct folder with relevant metadata automatically added to aid document discovery and management.
