Knowledge Management for Publishing Environment

Knowledge management systems can be found in nearly any industry you can think of including the world of publishing. A new product from Quality Solutions (Stoneham, MA) looks at KM from the perspective of book publishers. Their new product, Title Management Module, is a title tracking software system designed for managing editors, marketing and publishing professionals. It helps users manage editorial project management dates, track the events relating to title publication, and generate reports. Features include Production Information, Reports, Royalty and Contract Information, Title Scheduling, Date History, and Administration. The system is based on the Managing Editorial System in place at

Simon & Schuster. The system is written in Powerbuilder 5.0 for the Windows environment, and supports Sybase, Oracle, SQL Anywhere, and other database engines.
